Comcast Celebrates Women’s History Month

Throughout March, Comcast is celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting the women who inspire us – including changemakers at our company, in our communities, and throughout history. Just say “Women’s History Month” into your Xfinity X1 and Flex Voice Remote to get started.

We’re leveraging the collective power of our platforms to recognize women, and all month long, you can find curated destinations on Xfinity X1 and Flex that showcase inspiring women in film, TV, history, and music, including our “Women Who Inspire Us Movie Collection,” “Phenomenal Black Women,” “Latinas que dejan huELLAs,” and “TV’s Fierce Females.”

And then check out NBCUniversal’s Herstory campaign, which celebrates and showcases amazing women across the NBCUniversal family and beyond.

We are also committed to expanding the resources for small businesses and startups through our Comcast RISE program. In January, we expanded eligibility for Comcast RISE to all-women small-owned businesses furthering our effort to advance digital equity and help provide underrepresented entrepreneurs with access to the digital tools and funding they need to thrive. In addition, Comcast RISE recently sponsored the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s annual Bizwomen Mentoring Monday, which brought hundreds of women across the Twin Cities together to network, share advice and receive one-on-one coaching sessions. Comcast Twin Cities Regional Senior Vice President, Kalyn Hove, welcomed everyone to the event and Elizabeth Bierman, Comcast Twin Cities Vice President of Engineering was one of the 40 mentors.
